Hawthorn Plum Americano: A Tart & Fruity Cold Brew Experience

Fruity, bold, and layered with tangy notes, the Hawthorn Plum Americano blends sweet plum juice, whole fruit, and the zing of hawthorn with the deep richness of espresso. It’s a vibrant and refreshing twist on iced coffee—perfect for adventurous palates.

Ingredients

You'll need:

  • Ice cubes – As needed

  • Plums – 3–4 pieces

  • Plum juice – 200ml

  • Coffee beans – 18g

  • Dried hawthorn slices – 3 pieces

 

 

How to Make It

Step 1: Build the Fruity Base

Add ice cubes and 3–4 plums into your serving glass. Pour in 200ml of chilled plum juice for a juicy, tart base.

Step 2: Brew the Espresso

Grind 18g of coffee beans, tamp firmly, and use your espresso machine to extract a 36g shot of espresso.

Step 3: Pour & Infuse

Pour the hot espresso gently over the plum mixture, letting the heat contrast the icy base.

Step 4: Garnish with Hawthorn

Finish by adding 3 slices of dried hawthorn for extra tartness and an elegant visual flourish.
