Affogato: Dessert and Coffee in One Irresistible Cup

Ingredients

You’ll need:

  • Caramel biscuits – 2 pieces

  • Vanilla ice cream ball – 1 scoop

  • Mini cone – 1 piece

  • Espresso – 36g

  • Coffee beans – 18g

 

How to Make Affogato

Step 1: Build the Dessert Base

Crush one caramel biscuit and place it in a cup. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and gently press in a mini cone. Top it all with the second whole biscuit for added crunch.

Step 2: Prepare the Espresso

Using a double cup portafilter, grind 18g of coffee beans and tamp evenly.

Step 3: Pour the Magic

Extract 36g of espresso using your espresso machine and pour it over the dessert layers. The heat of the coffee melts the ice cream just enough to create a silky, caramel-infused blend.
