Warranty Policy

We warrant the Product against defects in materials and workmanship under ordinary use for two (2) years from the date of your original retail purchase made through our official online store at https://shop.gemilai.com/. Paid extended warranties are currently not supported.

If the Product is a consumable product (for example, an ink cartridge), this limited warranty is null and void as soon as the consumable part of the Product (for example, the ink) has been consumed. 

During the warranty period, if a defect arises in the Product and you follow the instructions that we will provide to you for returning the Product, we will, at our option, take one of the following actions: (i) replace the Product with either a new or a refurbished Product that is the same as or similar to the Product you purchased; (ii) repair the Product using either new or refurbished parts; or (iii) refund to you the purchase price of the Product.

There is no assurance, representation or warranty that any replacement Product will be identical to or will offer the same functionalities as the Product returned to us. Technological advances and Product availability may result in your receiving a replacement Product with a lower selling price than the original Product you purchased. In all cases, Product comparability will be determined by us at our sole discretion.

This limited warranty applies only to hardware components of the Product that are not subject to accident, misuse, neglect, fire or damage from other external causes, alteration, repair, or commercial use. This limited warranty is not transferable to any subsequent purchaser or recipient of the Product.

This limited warranty applies to any replacement Product or part, or to any repair, for the remainder of the original warranty period or for 90 days from its shipment to you, whichever period is longer. All parts and Products that you return to us and for which we give you a refund or replacement will become our property upon our receipt.

1. Free Warranty Coverage:

Performance failures of the Product under normal use. Valid proof of purchase from https://shop.gemilai.com/ (such as an invoice or order record) is required.

2. Non-Warranty Cases:

Exterior parts and accessories are not covered by the warranty:

• Coffee machines: including but not limited to casing, panels, wooden parts, water tanks and lids, portafilters, tampers, and decorative or protective components.
• Grinders: including but not limited to casing, panels, bean hoppers and lids, and decorative or protective parts.
• Normal wear and aging, such as scratches, discoloration, deformation, or fading due to use or environmental factors.
• Damage caused by water quality, misuse, accidental drops, impacts, pressure, or other human factors.
• Repairs, modifications, or disassembly performed by unauthorized service providers.
• Damage resulting from improper cleaning or maintenance not performed in accordance with the product instructions.
• Damage or malfunction caused by the use of non-original or unauthorized accessories.

For the non-warranty cases listed above, authorized service providers can offer paid repair or replacement services. If functional failures occur within the warranty period but are unrelated to the exterior parts, free repair or replacement will be provided according to the warranty terms.

How to Obtain Service:

For instructions on how to obtain service under this limited warranty, please turn to contact us to find ways.

Customer service will ask you questions to determine your eligibility under this limited warranty. If you are eligible, a replacement order, repair order or refund will be issued, and you'll be given instructions for returning the defective Product. 

Failure to ship the damaged part or Product back to us may result in your being charged for the replacement part or Product at full retail price. If we choose to send you a replacement or to repair your product, we will pay the cost of shipping the replacement or repaired Product to you.

Further limitations:

To the extent permitted by law, the warranty and remedies set forth above are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties and remedies, and we specifically disclaim all statutory or implied warranties, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and against hidden or latent defects. If we cannot lawfully disclaim statutory or implied warranties, then to the extent permitted by law, all such warranties shall be limited to the duration of this express limited warranty and to repair or replacement service.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long a statutory or implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. We are not responsible for direct, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or under any other legal theory. 

In some jurisdictions the foregoing limitation does not apply to death or personal injury claims, or any statutory liability for intentional and gross negligent acts and/or omissions, so the above exclusion or limitation may not apply to you. 

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of direct, incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion or limitation may not apply to you. This "limitations" section does not apply to customers in the european union.

This limited warranty gives you specific rights. You may have additional rights under applicable law, and this limited warranty does not affect such rights.
